Karin J. Sherrill RN, MSN, NEd, CNE, ANEF is an experienced nurse educator with almost 20 years of teaching experience with Maricopa Community Colleges. For three years, she served as Simulation Coordinator, specializing in simulation and technology integration into nursing curriculum. During her teaching tenure, she has been involved with many projects including the first online Associate Degree Registered Nurse program, participation in the first co-hort of the National League for Nursing’s Health Information Technology Scholars program, and lead author for the Informatics Module for the National Council State Board of Nursing’s Transition to Practice study. Karin works for the National League for Nursing facilitating NLN Live Review Courses for new graduates across the nation and consulted for multiple publishing companies on simulation and informatics. Karin has served as the chair of the Simulation Integration Management Committee for the MaricopaNursing Program, is founding president of the Arizona Simulation Network, and an ambassador for the National League for Nursing. She is a member of the Arizona Nurses Association, the National Organization for Associate Degree Nursing, the National League for Nursing, the Arizona Simulation Network, the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and the National League for Nursing’s Academy of Nursing Education.
